Podcasts that changed my outlook on life

They changed my whole outlook on life

I have always loved hearing the stories of others. So, Podcasts caught my attention pretty early on. The first episode I heard was a talk about money management on the podcast called On Purpose with Jay Shetty. And it blew my mind. There is something so amazing about long-form content compared to 10-minute videos that list ten ways to do something.

Since then, I have heard three to four podcasts per week on average on topics ranging from nutrition and health to artificial intelligence and data science.

This habit has helped me in a lot of ways. As a non-native English speaker, I became more confident in my language skills to the point where I could get a band 8 in IELTS without much preparation. That was one of the side effects.

In this blog, I want to share some of my favorite podcasts that significantly impacted my life.

🥗The Doctor’s Farmacy with Dr. Mark Hyman

This doctor saved my life. There was a point in my life when my body got so sick, and no one could figure out why. My hormone levels were going crazy. I felt fatigued all the time. After going to my doctor and getting the necessary treatment, I decided to fix my lifestyle and diet. I started researching on my own and did an elimination diet, only to discover that I had been gluten intolerant since childhood. This podcast has helped me to eat mindfully and live a healthy life.

If you’re looking for a podcast that explores the latest science and insights on health and wellness, you might want to check out this one. In each episode, Dr. Hyman interviews experts on topics ranging from nutrition and gut health to mental health and environmental sustainability.

This one has played a significant role in my eating and shopping habits.

Take away

So overall podcasts have helped me a lot in personal growth, health and many other important aspects of my life. I prefer long-form content like audiobooks and podcasts over short-form content where I feel like my brain is on a hamster wheel looking for the next video.
